A short video becomes easier when every shot has one job. Prepare the sequence, light and support before pressing record.

Put a project on the bench

Write the sequence

Use one establishing shot, two action details, one result and one closing frame. Record each for longer than the planned edit so cuts have room.

Protect stability, light and sound

Lean the phone against a firm support or use a tripod. Clean the lens, avoid mixed light, silence noisy equipment when speech matters and record a separate clean voice track if needed.

Export for the channel

Keep the original recording, export a vertical version for short-form platforms and a lighter muted preview for the website. Add captions when speech carries the message.
